Under Armour is a major contributor to Starlike’s portfolio of 30+ global athletic brands. During re-structuring and personnel changes, UA was struggling for a visual production for the massive market demand it has to accommodate.

Challenge: E-commerce design bottlenecks after restructuring

Like many large companies in the post covid years, Starlike, Taiwan’s leading distributor of global athletic brands, too had to go through some restructuring that left the entire organization and all 30 brands sharing a single design team of just 17. 

Needless to say, the team’s workload greatly increased and left major brands like Under Armour struggling with keeping up with creative demand. So-much-so, their online campaigns were in danger of not running at all!

Solution discovery: Faster banner resizing and visual production for e-commerce channels

At first the UA team reached out to us for adaptation needs of their key visuals for their brand.com, media, momo & shopee channels. Our 2-day turnaround time was a massive improvement for UA, when compared to the previous timeline of 10 days. Under Armour EC team was so pleased that soon after the start of our collaboration, our studio team began producing original key art.

New process & results: Streamlined e-commerce banner workflow with faster turnaround

On a monthly basis, UA would use dipp’s automated request submission forms to file requests. This process alone saved time when compared to the old-fashioned brief creation process of the past. In these forms, UA e-commerce team specifies the content, the platforms and sizes and our studio team takes it from there. We provide very high quality art direction that Under Armor is known for and with UA e-commerce team’s approval, we quickly adapt to the required sizes and platforms.

After working for almost a year now, the art-direction been well received by UA e-commerced team and on top of that, the turn-around time has greatly improved.

Under Armour can now continue to be the major player in Starlike’s portfolio of companies, without incurring the costs traditionally associated with outside vendors and without experiencing the same process issues.
